So for those of you who don't know I started teaching sewing lessons back in 1999. I helped my mom during the summers as a high school and college student. Then I got married in 2001, went to dental assisting trade school. In 2002 I started working full time as an orthodontic assistant and in 2003 taught sewing classes on Fridays. I loved it. We had our first child, Missa in November of 2006. From there I decided to quit my full time job and stay home. To earn extra income I picked up more sewing classes.
I was going full swing with teaching sewing and being a mom. Then I find out I was pregnant again in January of 2008! Not until March of 2008 did I find out I was having twins. Once I was 5 months pregnant with the twins I stopped teaching (PLUS we moved to another state and were starting a new career- going back to school). J&J came in September of 2008.
After I had the twins I realized it was going to be really hard to continue teaching sewing. The following summer (2009) I did teach sewing to two students. I did it to trade babysitting services with them. They enjoyed it and so did I! Then I stopped b/c life for them was getting busy during the school year and I got pregnant again! Due with our 4th child the following spring (2010). I decided to not teach sewing and focus on my kids.
Here it is 3 years after I stopped teaching I have finally started to get back to sewing. I know it will be harder with only one machine and limited space but I think I can do it.
This blog is for me to post my classes and the success of my students. I may put some ideas on here but really I am not that creative when it comes to thinking of new ideas. heheh:)
