I have taken a 2 week hiatus from sewing and 3 weeks hiatus from this blog... I have to do that quite often. I sew A LOT and then I need a break. Right now I am working on 4 projects. Here is the first of them that is completed.

Little Girl Skirt
Burda 9630
My older daughter is wearing a cute skirt I just made her. Very easy with only 2 pattern pieces to cut out. It has an elastic waistband on the yoke part of the skirt. The full part of the skirt is then gathered to fit the yoke of the skirt. The fabric I used is a heavy "fleecy" type of fabric. Since it gets quite cold here and we walk to church I wanted to make some warmer church clothes.
I really like Burda Patterns, they are sleek, simple and classic. Not too complicated in putting them together. Though sometimes the directions can be unclear to a beginner sewer. They also have great styling, coordination of fabrics and lots of adorable patterns for adults and children. Check them out!
Great to make for your daughter, niece or granddaughter
